10 Things Only Pomeranian Owners Know!

I stumbled upon All About Poms' cute video and had to share it. Granted, all their content is worth a binge. I watched while my own Pom performed his intensive morning routine.

Don't ask about the routine, though I'll give a brief rundown: Lots of Pom sounds, bouncing, barking, napping on the floor or ottoman, more bouncing, running up the stairs to bark with this sister. (That bark, by the way, is ear-shattering.) He's a dork.

And now he wants to go outside. Ugh.

He loves snow. I mean loves that bitterly cold, piled over his head kind of white stuff. I can't get him to come inside. He's happy while laying on it. He's part of the Spitz breed. (I had to teach him "bribery" as a command, waving some sort of treat out the back door. My neighbors might think that I'm insane.)

And now he's barking at the birds. Or his own shadow. Meh. Wait! He heard me pick up my bag of Harvest Snaps. Recall success!

Cracker Jack nails these traits.

There is another video for anyone with a Pom. Some Poms growl when picked up. It's a trait for many. For Jack, a tripaw, it's painful if picked up like a baby or toddler with their arms out. I've seldom heard him yelp. It's intensive growling when he's had enough roughhousing with the bigger dogs.

And now he's pawing me because it's time to take my meds. Silly puppy - you delight us all.
