Looking Back

 My cousin emailed a few old photos to me. It was a nice trip down Memory Lane.

 

This picture was taken shortly after my parents moved to Colorado. Aunt Helen and Aunt Paul came out for a visit. I hadn't seen them in a long while, so this was a perfect opportunity to share laughter and old stories. I loved my Aunt Helen's smile. We both look so young! Being fair, both my aunts aged well. I sure didn't.

That's my mom in the background, and Aunt Paul is behind her. My Aunt Helen looks less than amused, but I can't blame her. It was a very, very long drive from Ohio. It took Jeff and I three days from Colorado to Ohio.

I look so bored in this pic. My parents were so young! They poured a lot of love into my childhood home, and it shows. These were good times, but also painful at times. Hey, Jeff. Anything in the background look familiar?

The orange recliner! This was the best fucking chair in the entire fucking house!!! Mum's kicking back with our dog, Spunky.
