"TIIKERI DOG SEAT COVER FOR REAR SEAT"
We recently purchased a new vehicle with leather seats. 24 hours later, and there's already a claw mark on the back seat. In our case, regular seat covers were not an option. Dogs gotta be dogs, and you need a product like this to help protect seats and doors, and prohibit your dog from crawling into the front seats... in theory. Let's start.
4-IN-1 DOG SEAT COVER
The Good: This is actually a 5-in-1. The sides can be zipped to form a box (best for protecting doors or preventing your tiny dog from going under the front seats), and it comes with straps that attach to the passenger grab handles above each door. I did not try the front seat option, but the other offered options work well.
The Bad: Getting you dog in and out of "box mode" can be a chore precisely because it does have side zippers and straps. I'm not impressed by the slits for belt buckles. This box may not be high enough to cover your doors, so claws can still rake it.
UPGRADED LARGE SIZE & UNIVERSAL FIT
The Good: It does fit nicely, depending on your vehicle. (Ours is a 2023 Bronco Sport, roughly the same dimensions as a small/mid-size SUV.)
The Bad: Once installed, it's rumply. The ad image/thumbnail leads people to believe every panel is stiff, a necessary feature for keeping Fido from jumping into the front seats or staying off the doors. Our smallest dog (Min Pin) and our largest dog (hound) easily crawled over the mesh - the baggy bits serve as an ideal latter to get into the front seats. It does not work with all vent types either. In our case. the mesh partition was not open enough at the bottom. But bonus! the saggy mesh drops down enough to let some vent air in.
EASY TO INSTALL
The Good: This product is easy to install.
The Bad: Nada
WELL MADE & EASY TO CLEAN
The Good: It's smooth enough for vacuuming fur up without "scrubbing". My dogs' chewed up Nylabones do not snag the stitching and material, so it's a bit more rugged than most others (in this price range).
The Bad: Unlike most covers on the market, you can not put this into the washing machine "as it may damage the plastic buckles".
You get what you pay for on Amazon. Don't expect this low cost seat cover to last for ages. That said, I have not had it long enough to gauge the overall durability of this item.
APPEARANCE
The orange trim isn't for everybody. This item is ugly in my SUV but feels at home in my truck.
INCLUDED ITEMS
Dog Belts: Please do not use these belts without a properly fitted harness. Attaching these belts to your dog's collar may harm or kill them. Also, the belt might be too short if you have a large breed dog.
Do not use that air freshener. It smells like sweaty balls.
SELLER & SHIPPING
TIIKERI offers a variety of products on Amazon. I don't see many complaints about them. I didn't have to return this item so I can't review their customer service.
As for shipping? My order arrived promptly. Kudos for the Eco-friendly box!
OVERALL, this product will work if your dogs aren't feral asshats intent on destroying your vehicle's interior. I recommend this product for the cost, fast shipping, easy installation, decent coverage, and the 5-in-one options. Try it out to see how your dog accepts it. If all works well, upgrade in the future.
