Southern Opossum vs Harlequin Zwergpinscher

How do you determine if you're looking at a Southern opossum or a Harlequin Zwergpinscher at night?

The 'possum doesn't bark its head off and wake the neighbors.

 

 

(Apparently, it's also more difficult to spot.)
